On April 26, 1986 the Chernobyl nuclear strength plant near Pripyat, Ukraine experienced a malfunction which ended in a core explosion in reactor four. This miniseries follows Valery Legasov, the lead scientist running to control the catastrophe, Boris Shcherbina, a Soviet baby-kisser representing the interests of the Soviet authorities at some stage in the disaster, and Ulana Khomyuk, a nuclear physicist working to uncover the truth about what in reality came about at Chernobyl. This collection tackles the troubles that rise up when the fact is unnoticed and saved from the general public, begging the query: "what is the value of lies?".
